FAQs

We offer Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y and Omega Loop) surgeries using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques for effective, long-term weight loss.

Laparoscopic surgery offers several advantages, including:

Minimally Invasive: Smaller incisions lead to less pain and scarring.
Faster Recovery: Shorter hospital stays and quicker return to normal activities.
Reduced Risk: Lower chance of infection and complications.
Enhanced Precision: Improved visualization for the surgeon.

Always consult your doctor to understand if laparoscopic surgery is right for you.

It is recommended to have a Colonoscopy if there are changes in Bowel habits, rectal bleeding, unexplained Anemia or weight loss. Screening colonoscopy is recommended if there is a Family history of Bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease or Faecal occult blood detected in bowel contents.

The frequency depends on your risk factors:

Average Risk: Start at age 45-50, repeat every 5 years if normal.
Family History: Begin earlier (around 40), repeat every 5 years.
Polyps/Abnormal Findings: Every 3-5 years, or as recommended.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Every 1-2 years.

Consult your doctor for personalised guidance.

To reduce the risk of skin cancer:

Protect Your Skin: Use sunscreen with SPF 30+ and wear protective clothing.
Avoid Peak Sun: Stay out of direct sunlight.
Beware of Tanning: Avoid tanning beds and sunlamps.
Regular Skin Checks: Examine your skin regularly and see your GP/Skin Surgeon for any changes.
